(Helena - West Helena, AR) - HELENA-WEST HELENA — Helena-West Helena celebrated the 5th annual “Jazz on the Levee” Saturday evening commemorating the late Helena native and master jazz saxophonist Red Holloway.
Featured artist Phillips Stackhouse swayed the listening audience with his rhythmic sound of the saxophone. Noah Jelks played it “to the beat” on the drums and Rev. Ronald V. Myers held the sound on piano and trumpet.
Dancers and music enthusiasts alike enjoyed the taste of jazz with an evening buffet provided by the Tri-County Rural Health Network.
